Who Can Apply?

Review the eligibility criteria below before starting your application. Both individuals and businesses may apply.

Individual Applicants

  • South African citizen or permanent resident
  • Valid South African ID number (13-digit)
  • Outstanding vehicle licence fees or penalties on one or more vehicles registered in your name
  • Not currently under formal debt counselling or administration
  • Able to commit to a structured settlement payment if the proposal is accepted

Business / Company Applicants

  • South African registered company, close corporation, or other legal entity
  • Valid CIPC company registration number
  • Outstanding vehicle licence fees or penalties on fleet vehicles registered to the entity
  • Not currently under business rescue, liquidation, or formal debt review
  • Authorised representative can confirm and sign off on the application

Who is NOT Eligible

  • Persons currently under formal debt counselling (Section 86 of the National Credit Act)
  • Companies under business rescue, liquidation, or judicial management
  • Applicants who only have outstanding traffic fines (not vehicle licence fees)
  • Applicants whose vehicles are not registered in their own name or their entity's name
